Dog fouling penalties
Someone who has not cleaned up after their dog can be given a £50 on-the-spot fine.
If they refuse to pay the fine, they can be prosecuted and may face a court appearance with a maximum penalty of £1,000.
Registered blind dog owners are exempt from these penalties.
Before you start, you will need to tell us:
- where the dog fouling is
- name and address of the offender (if known)
- a description of dog
- a description of the dog owner
