Our My Account website will be unavailable on Wednesday 29 October from 4pm for a few hours while we update the system. If you need help during this time, contact: Customer Service Team by telephone on 0345 8 506 506 We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Have a question or concern about a tree in your area? We’re here to help.

Use this form to let us know what you need, whether it’s about tree care, maintenance, or safety.

If you have a specific tree safety concern (fallen or hanging tree or branch) report it immediately by contacting Customer services on 0345 8 506 506.

Before you start, things you need to know:

  • we manage trees in parks, golf courses, towns, city centres, schools across the district and on roads
  • we protect important trees within the district boundary
  • we consider keeping and protecting trees on proposed development sites
  • we make sure trees are replaced where consent has been given for their removal
  • we make sure trees that are removed or harmed without Planning Authority consent are investigated
  • we handle tree work applications and notifications when received by tree owners

You can look at Wakefield Council Trees Safety Policy, as it may address your concerns.

Before you start, you will need to tell us:

  • where the tree is
  • what type of issue the tree is causing
