Please only use this form if you or a community group you are part of are wanting to or have already carried out a litter pick in the community. If you want to request The Council do a litter pick, please use the “request road sweeping or litter clearing” form.
Wakefield Council can loan a litter picking kit to community groups of 15 people or more wanting to carry out a community litter pick on public land. This kit contains all the equipment, risk assessments etc. required to safely complete a litter pick. We will then collect the litter you have collected. The kit must be collected from and returned to one of our local depots.
Wakefield Council are also encouraging individuals to take pride in the areas in which they live and become "Litter Heroes" as part of Keep Britain Tidy's #LitterPickMeUp campaign. We provide kits containing litter pickers, gloves, and waste sacks (along with risk assessments and other guidance) for individuals to keep. The Council then pick up the litter collected. All we ask is you promote the hard work you have done using #LitterPickMeUp on social media. Litter Hero kits can be collected from your local Street Scene Depot. Only in exceptional circumstances are we able to deliver.
